What happens if a refund is processed after my account is closed?

Yes. Merchants can continue processing refunds after the announcement. Card spending will end on August 7, 2026 , but merchants may still process eligible refunds during the wind-down period. As long as the refund is successfully processed before the final shutdown deadline, you’ll be able to view the refunded amount in your card balance and withdraw or use those funds before the product is retired.
