Why can't both the acquisition and the protocol continue?

This was one of the first options we explored. Keeping the protocol alive alongside the acquisition would have required maintaining separate operations, governance, legal structures, technical infrastructure, and ongoing support.

After carefully evaluating those options with all parties involved, it became clear that continuing the protocol wasn’t feasible under the structure of the acquisition. While we know this isn’t the outcome many hoped for, we believe it’s better to communicate that reality honestly than to create expectations we can’t deliver.
