Why launch a token if it was eventually going to be shut down?

When CYPR was launched, it reflected our genuine long-term vision for the protocol. At that time, neither the acquisition nor today’s circumstances were part of our plans. The decision to discontinue the token came much later as part of the acquisition and wasn’t something that was anticipated when the project began.
